Botanical Orb IV
One of my latest in a series of original psychedelic botanical acrylic and colored pencil paintings on drafting film. These are inspired by my usual blend of flowers, caterpillars, moth wings, defensive camouflage, lips, slime mold, and …other stuff.
When complete, each painting is sealed and varnished to a wood panel and mounted to a resin frame of my own design. I sculpt the frame in clay, create silicone molds of the original, and pour casts individually with EcoResin. After I sand and seal them with UV spray, They can be easily hung on a nail or a small easel (not included)
